Fall Bucket List: Apple Picking ✔️
8:51 PMThis weekend, Anthony and I went apple picking and it has been quite the adventure to check this item off of the Fall Bucket List. We've tried and failed two times before we found our new favorite fall spot. These failures were due to the rain, and a poorly advertised Cape Cod farm that said they had apple picking when they in fact did not. However, we persisted and the third time was a charm.
Thank goodness for the beautiful Lyman Orchards which was located in a little Connecticut haven town surrounded by sprawling hills of golden, red, and yellow-leaved trees. Look to your right and see a hilltop speckled with orange globs, or soon-to-be picked pumpkins. One look to your left for acres of apple tree rows as far as the eye can see. Breath in the cool air and smell burning wood and kindling from a nearby living room fire. Ah, fall.
In addition to a little weekend update, I've put together a little bucket list to map out all of the things I intend on checking off during the season and my hope is that this post inspires you to channel your inner hygge (pronounced hoo-gah). I know you're not surprised it's food-centric.
